NVQ training
ATG Services includes staff with many years experience in the waste industry and we base our high levels of customer service on our ability to provide confidential and professional advice. As a training provider, we cover a wide range of subjects associated with waste management including legislative compliance and associated subjects such as health & safety, customer care, etc.
Our sister company Island Enterprises Ltd are an approved centre for WAMITAB (Waste Management Industry Training & Advisory Board) and the Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM). Our scope includes training of staff from NVQ level 1 to 5 and training of waste producers in the Waste Awareness Certificate (WAC) sponsored by the CIWM. The 'WAC' course is a one-day classroom based training and a certificate from the CIWM is awarded to successful candidates.
The WAMITAB awards NVQs are 'on the job' assessments and our service involves a pragmatic approach in assisting candidates dev elop compliant operations.

DESCRIPTION |
NVQ 1 & 2
Waste Mgmt Operations |
This award is very much based on a 'hands on' approach to waste management. It consists of 10 units of which 4 are optional therefore making the assessment specific to the role in the operation. This level is aimed at waste handlers and drivers/operators |
NVQ 3
Waste Mgmt Supervision |
The assessment is carried out on a one to one basis where the candidate provides evidence, including discussion, of how he/she controls team activities to meet company targets and compliance with legal requirements |
NVQ 4
Certificate of Technical Competence |
This award is a legal requirement for waste facility managers. There are different CoTCs for different operations i.e. landfill, transfer station, etc. It is made up of 12 units and is assessed on a one to one basis |
| NVQ 5 |
This award is aimed at a manager of managers and is assessed on a one to one basis. |

- Operational Safety on landfills, transfer stations and treatment plants

- Landfill Operational Practice
