Envirovalve
Stop Pollution at the Flick of a Switch
Envirovalve has been developed by Darcy Products to stop spills in their tracks preventing harmful contaminants from entering watercourses. This immediate response system creates valuable time to implement cleanup operations. It can be controlled at the touch of a button from anywhere which makes Envirovalve the ultimate pollution prevention and control system.
Easy to maintain
The Envirovalve does require maintenance once every 12 months. This involves a visit by an Envirovalve Engineer, the bladder will be inspected and tested and drain and bladder contact areas cleared. Firing mechanism is tested and reset, the unit will be cleaned and new labels put on. The unit will also require service after use where the bladder has come into contact with pollutants, it will not require servicing again after this for a further 12 months.
Inexpensive
Compared to traditional mechanical gate and penstock valves, the Envirovalve is an inexpensive alternative offering both easy operation, no heavy moving parts and easy inexpensive installation with no major construction work required. This combined with four different activation methods means the Envirovalve can be made to suit any budget.
Easy to use
Above ground
The Envirovalve is incredibly versatile. The bladder can be inflated in many different ways
- Manually by hand pump , lever with compressed air or strike button for single shot use. These methods can be used on, bladders up to 15" (375mm).

- Remotely - by radio control or by your mobile phone. Activate from anywhere at any time in the event of a spillage.
Multiple bladders operated remotely off one signal with solar charger
All valves can be completely independent from local power source, making them ideal in the event of fire or power failure.
Valves can also be linked to external indicators such as fire systems, PH monitors, tank level monitors etc.
Below Ground
The bladder - a flexible self centering unit that is mounted permanently in the drain with airline laid from activation unit. The bladder is multi layered giving it great chemical compatibility and toughness for the harsh environment that it will be situated in

Adaptable
The Envirovalve can be used in all types of drains, plastic and ceramic.
It can be used in an emergency or as part of site day to day operation during deliveries or other procedures that could lead to pollution.
It has been used to prevent flooding and to diverting liquids away from treatment plants and into holding tanks.
The Envirovalve has many uses and is now used nationally by the Fire Brigade in its portable form. |
